For my children’s book class! Each week we have to write a story, storyboard it and finish an illustration, so here’s last week’s. Set on a Mongol-inspired far off planet, it’s about a boy who tires of his games and toys very quickly. When he meets a girl he really likes, they play and explore and fight carnivorous plants and what not. But soon he gets worried about getting tired of her too, and she relies on him so much. So he runs away from her. But suddenly he realizes all of the games and adventures he used to go on can’t be done alone. When he runs into some trouble, she saves him, and he asks her to stay. He couldn’t promise forever, but he knew he didn’t want her to leave now. And maybe that was enough.
